ASPECT is the IRSE’s flagship technical Conference, held every 2 years at locations around the world.  Featuring fifty or more papers by technical experts from around the world, the Conference provides an unrivalled opportunity for learning and the exchange of knowledge in the fields of train control, railway communications and related disciplines. There is also a day devoted specifically for younger members, and a technical visits day, to accompany the two mains “papers” days.

IEEE Forum on Integrated and Sustainable Transportation System (FISTS) is a Forum sponsored jointly by four IEEE Societies: the Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, the Intelligent Transportation Systems Society, the Oceanic Engineering Society, and the Vehicular Technology Society. FISTS offers provocative presentations, lively discussion, and visionary futures about sustainable transportation systems that create economic opportunity and improve access to basic human needs. The Forum-ISTS will bring together major actors in all these areas from all over the world. It is the specific ambition of the conference committee to have high-level speakers expressing their views and stimulate an intensive discussion with the audience. The aim of the conference is to stimulate an active debate on what we need to achieve by a sustainable transportation system and what measures have to be taken into account to reach these ambitious goals.

Project management congress 2019 Delft University of Technology and the Project Management Institute (PMI) Netherlands Chapter are delighted to invite you to participate in the international Project Management Congress “ADAPT or DIE” on Thursday 11 April and Friday 12 April 2019. Research meets Practice: Project Management 3.0. Project management today is based on data, insights and experience in the field, but the nexus of successful projects is skilled people.  How improve the connection between Industry, Academia, and Professional organizations to address the skills gap of the future?  Will our workforce of the future be ready for the challenges ahead? It’s time to build bridges between these disciplines.  But we intend to go further,  the requirements of projects are changing.  Business is now looking at different models and approaches to execution, and new metrics to test success.  Our goal is to bring the discussion into business outcomes, beyond project processes, to get to the real value of projects to all of us.

The conference aims at bringing together scientists, engineers, and practitioners active in the field of fluvial hydraulics and river morphology. Attention will be paid to the generic conference themes: – River hydrodynamics, – River morphology and sediment transport, – River engineering and restoration, – Hydraulic structures, whereas the conference provides also room for special topics such as: – Rivers in urbanized and urbanizing areas, – River management, flood risk, and navigation, – Building with nature, ecology, restoration, nature-based solutions, – Water quality, pollutant dynamics, debris flow, plastic waste, – Data, novel measurement techniques, satellite observations, citizen science, – Climate change, extreme events, long-term developments.
